I have been friends with her beautiful Ma, Tanya, for many years. She is the sweetest, most thoughtful and considerate human you could know. Sometimes you just get lucky to meet and keep people in your world that are so pure and wonderful, and I am so grateful I get to keep Tanya and call her a dear friend of mine!
We have grown together. Our friendship is long standing. One day at dinner she confided in us (me and my other favourite human Krystle) to say that she and her partner were thinking of trying for a baby. I was over the moon, I couldn’t imagine a better mum than Tanya! A lot of time passed between catch ups, and no baby news yet. We discussed her difficulties and frustrations, she always held on hope! But as many of you know, having a baby isn’t always easy. …
One day I received a message I never wanted to get from my lovely friend. She reached out to tell me (and Krystle) that her mum had passed away suddenly in her sleep. A loss I cannot even begin to fathom. This is not the news I expected or wanted for Tanya.
One day her best friend, the person she went to for everything was here, and the next, she was gone. Her mum was taken too soon. Tanya being the bright soul she is, even in her grieving, shared moments of light with us. She told us of the little lady bugs that had been visiting since her mums passing and she decided it must be her. One day I asked Tanya to come to lunch. It was a beautiful sunny day. As we headed outside a lady bug flew and landed on my top! I hadn’t seen lady bugs in my garden ever before!! I said “Looks like Cheryl is happy you’re coming for lunch” … Tanya teared up and said, “That is so special! I hope she is here with good news!” and told me she and Jordan were trying again for a baby!
I kid you not. Ella was conceived that very day.
Ella’s due date was around the one year anniversary of Cheryl’s passing. Cheryl sadly passed away 14th, October, 2018 and Ella was born on the 18th of October 2019.
How powerful is that. Her mums gift from the other side. Almost a message to say “everything will be ok my girl, life goes on”
Tanya is now the most incredible mother, as I knew she would be, to the gorgeous Ella Lee – and Jordon is a doting father. For all the hardships in creating this little cutie and the loss experienced, Ella is a ray of light in their world and Cheryl would be so proud. Ella Lee, your story is already a big and beautiful one. I am sure you will get plenty of ladybug visits into the future and I can’t wait to hear all about it Rest In Peace Cheryl, you did wonderful things, I mean look at the legacy you created x
