I do my fresh produce shop there most weeks and genuinely cannot sing their praises enough. There is something especially lovely about photographing my loyal local families at a business I love supporting with my own family.
And speaking of loyal families, I am incredibly lucky to have so many clients who return to me year after year. They really are the bread and butter (or fruit and veg) of this little business. Literally, considering this work pays for my produce haul from the very orchard where these photos were taken.
Then there’s the Allen Family …
The Allens are long-time clients turned friends. I have photographed them nearly every year for more than a decade, apart from a few years when life was understandably a little insane. Each session becomes a new photo adventure, marking the passing of time and all the change that comes with it.
I’ve been there to document, or to cheer them on the sidelines, as they got themselves a puppy, became husband and wife, dominated their careers, built homes, built businesses (and more businesses) welcomed their first baby, welcomed twin babies, navigated neurological complexities in one of the twins, while still showing up fully for their families, their friendships, their businesses and the lives they built together.
I really look forward to my Allen family annual fix to hear what they’ve somehow managed to achieve since I saw them last. We spend a lot of the session chin wagging honestly and catching up, but the photo results speak for themselves.
That is the joy of being someone’s chosen long-term family photographer.
I become invested in you while you continue to invest in me. I care about what happens in your life between sessions. I listen to your stories, remember where you’ve been and understand a little more of what it has taken to arrive as the people standing in front of my camera on the day and I hope that history shines through in the way my camera sees you too

Jumping in the time machine! (I cannot believe I haven’t shared this yet!!) This is the wedding of April + Nat. I photographed this beautiful little micro wedding in 2024 at Old Tower House at 36 weeks pregnant (with Mac)… on a 40+ degree day 😅 Yikes. But honestly? I would do it again tomorrow. […]
