1 Plan ahead

Planning ahead can help alleviate some of the stress and anxiety that comes with a photo session. Prepare your outfits, choose a location that has meaning for you, and communicate with your photographer about your vision and goals for the session. The more prepared you are, the more relaxed and confident you’ll feel during the photo session. This is something I will step you through in the journey of booking a session with me! 2 Trust your photographer

Your photographer (hopefully me!) is there to capture your unique and authentic moments. Trust in their expertise and creative vision, and allow them to guide you through the photo session. This will allow you to relax and be present in the moment, resulting in stunning and authentic photographs. I got you!

3 Be present and enjoy the moment

One of the most important things you can do during a photo session is to be present and enjoy the moment. Focus on the connection between you and your loved ones, and let go of any stress or worries. Laugh, play, and have fun with each other, and allow your photographer to capture those heartwarming moments. A LOT of people are concerned about how their family will perform on the day, but genuinely, do not concern yourself with that! Our cameras are fast and we are well trained to look for, prompt and find those magic moments to photograph!

4 Embrace imperfection

Remember that imperfection is part of what makes us human and unique. Embrace the quirks, the flaws, the natural beauty and allow your photographer to capture the real you. Let your kids go wild, let them splash in the water, get amongst the chaos, even if it’s just for that day! This will result in stunning and authentic photographs that you’ll absolutely love!
